Applications are now open for the Danish Government Scholarship at Southern Denmark University for the September 2023 intake.
Each year, on two occasions, the University of Southern Denmark offers scholarships to eligible students through the Danish Government Scholarship. What is even more interesting is that recipients of these scholarships have a first job guarantee upon completion of their studies.
If you are applying to study in one of the university’s eligible master’s programs, then you qualify to apply for the Danish Scholarship.

International students or students outside the EU/EEA are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship which is supported by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science was instituted to honor the impact overseas students make when they study in their country. The scholarship, therefore, is awarded to deserving applicants who are willing to make an impact and have applied to one of the universities master’s programs.
Qualification Criteria
The following are general selection prerequisites, although there are program-specific qualification criteria which you are advised to check out from the school’s website in the link that will be provided at the end of this article:
- Applicants must be students outside of the EU/EEA countries.
- Applicants must be eligible to pay fees.
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or another degree equivalent for the same level.
- Proof of English language proficiency must be provided since the programs are taught in English.

Selected individuals will enjoy the following benefits:
- Full tuition waiver for the entire duration of the program.
- Living cost stipends worth DKK 3000 per month
- Graduates from the faculties listed below have a first job guarantee upon completion of their studies.
