The Pershing Square Scholarship at the University of Oxford provides funding for exceptional students pursuing the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme, which combines a one-year master’s degree with a one-year MBA.
Only five scholarships are available. Each award covers the full course fees for both programmes, plus a living-cost grant of at least £21,805 per year.
Who Can Apply For The Pershing Square Scholarship?
Priority is given to:
- New applicants to the Oxford 1+1 MBA who are admitted to both the MBA and a participating master’s programme.
- Applicants admitted to both the MBA and a full-time one-year master’s programme that is not currently a 1+1 partner programme.
- Current master’s students who have been admitted to the MBA and were not considered for the scholarship the previous year.
Selection considers academic achievement, leadership potential, personal character and integrity, as well as the applicant’s commitment to addressing major social challenges through scalable and sustainable solutions.
How to Apply
There is no separate scholarship application. To be considered, you must:
- Apply for the Oxford 1+1 MBA.
- Apply separately for your chosen master’s programme.
- Be admitted to both programmes.
- Upload the Pershing Square Scholarship essay in the Funding section of your 1+1 MBA application
The essay must answer:
How do you intend to change the world and what does this tell us about you as a person?
Your response must be no more than 500 words.
Deadline
The deadline for the 1+1 MBA application is 6 January 2027. Your chosen master’s programme has its own application deadline, which may be in December or January.
Shortlisting is expected in early April, followed by interviews in late April or early May.
