Teacher and 4 students arrested for cultivating 'wee'

A teacher and four other pupils has been detained by the Forestry Commission in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District for growing cannabis, also known as “wee,” there.

A senior high school teacher and four (4) other students has been arrested for cultivating ‘wee’, that is, cannabis in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.

The arrest of the teacher and the students was caused by the Forestry Commission in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.

The accused grown the cannabis without a license in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District of the Eastern Region’s Akroma Forest Reserve. Their arrest was caused by a tip-off about their operations.

Michael Anakpo, a teacher of agriculture at the Donkorkrom Agric Senior High School (DASHS), is one of the suspects and is thought to be in charge of the cannabis plantation.

There are currently eight more suspects on the run. The Donkorkrom police have received the five people who were detained.

Five containers of the cannabis, three additional large bags, cutlasses, hoes, and other items were discovered with the suspects after their arrest.

The Commission would step its surveillance efforts to halt the unlawful growing of cannabis, according to Richard Amoateng, the district forestry manager.

In other reports, a man, Kofi Atta who is a farmer and from Assin Akomfede in the Central Region has accidentally cut of his ‘balls’ while asleep.

The farmer, Kofi Atta, claimed that he dreamed about cutting meat while he was asleep. He was actually severing a portion of his male genitalia without realizing it.

Kofi Atta told Alfred Amoh of Adom News that when he awoke from sleep, he discovered himself in a pool of blood.

The sufferer is currently being treated at St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu and has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) due to his stable condition.
