JOB DESCRIPTION 

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Country Manager to join one of the most dynamic and fastest expanding FinTech’s on the continent. With a passion for payments they identified a gap in the African payments landscape and swiftly moved to bridge that gap and move the online payments industry into centre stage. JOB DESCRIPTION 

The role is based in Accra, Ghana and as such you will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of Ghana as a market along with strong sales and leadership skills. As their Country Manager it is imperative that you have a background in the e-commerce / payments space / travel and tourism or hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Compile and share a country sales program with RSM and HOS, agree on targets and implement the sales activity calendar
  • Execute and report on the agreed sales program
  • Follow the company sales procedures they have in place
  • Agree personal and team sales targets, plan, initiate and execute sales meetings
  • Manage own and oversee the Sales Teams; meeting scheduling and following up with clients each month (face-to face/Skype/phone calls) to generate new sales and support existing clients
  • Manage new accounts and ensure adequate after-sales relationship management and support
  • Take the lead in dormant account reactivation and ongoing client revenue management meetings
  • Assign Sales Rep responsibilities for specific sales projects and shared marketing campaigns
  • Ensure that post-event follow up campaigns are implemented by the Sales Team in a timely and effective manner (Proposals sent and telesales follow up)
  • Oversee and participate in customer support activities as requested by the Customer Support and Operations
  • departments
  • Vet all requests for new accounts (KYC, Closed Won) with recommendations to RSM or HOS once approved and ready
  • Understand and operate the company CRM (Zoho)
  • Prepare and present weekly sales reports to the Regional Manager and Head of Sales, based on sales targets, activities and achievements, deadlines, and market intelligence
  • Participate in sales roadshows, workshops, client exhibitions and events as directed by the Sales and Marketing Department
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Experience in activity, task and sales reporting
  • Proven customer relations skills
  • Understanding of the importance of after-sales follow up
  • Proven track record in frontline sales and CRM system management as well as pipeline planning and reporting

  • Excellent face-to-face presentation skills
  • Must be very energetic and thorough
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and persuasive in nature with excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • The motivation to work without supervision
  • The ability to work under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Fluent in English
