Newmont’s Africa Operations holds two gold mining operations in Ghana: the Ahafo Mine located in the Brong-Ahafo region and the Akyem Mine located in the Eastern region. Positions Available: 

1. Metallurgist

• Ensure that the CIL parameters are all within the acceptable range (DO and cyanide concentration, pH, density, carbon profile,)
• Ensure that solution and solid residues are within acceptable range.
• Ensure that the CIL and tails auto samplers, cyanide analyzer, online pH meters, DO meters, densitometers and flowmeters are all functional at all times.

2. Senior Mining Applications Specialist

• Provide production applications support for a multitude of mining and processing technology and systems.
• Plan, coordinate production support, maintenance, updates and patching of systems defined in the scope of this role.
• Work closely with site technology team members collaborating and leading efforts to solve technical problems in the field.

3. Regional Chief Financial Officer

• A business partnership/advisory role to VP Operations Finance & Planning, RSVP Africa: understands business drivers, identifies root causes and focuses on increasing business value.
• Team membership on Regional Leadership Team: active participant who brings perspective and insight; ability to bring together regional and corporate resources toward solutions.
• Collaborative, team player with exceptional communication skills to varied audiences; helps all stakeholders better understand Newmont’s business.
