Here is the Latest career placement at BIMA. BIMA is hiring a Head of Training (Call Center and Field Sales). The role will be based in Accra, Ghana.  Strong leadership skills and accountability for self and others relating to training and personal development including leading a team of trainers and an Induction Training Manager.  Responsible for the learning and development plans for all Sales, Customer Service and Claims personnel including, but not limited to, new hire induction training, creation of content, planning and organisation.  Maintaining and enhancing the current training sales leadership teams through development and strong interpersonal skills.  Delivery of all company training requirements/outcomes and, overseeing planning activities including performance and results. A critical support function to sales and a strong partner to the HR Manager on broader people development across the entire operation (including non-sales functions).

THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership & team management

  • Work closely with members of Ghana Management Team and Global specialist teams to ensure implementation of BIMA globally agreed, standards, practices and processes that relate to training and, alignment of the training department and business goals 
  • Develop a strong understanding of local business to understand maximize impact of training on business performance
  • Participate as an active member of the Global Training Manager community to develop self and others and contribute on Global-defined projects
  • Optimize training processes for efficiency 
  • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance 
  • Develop and deliver training solutions that meet business needs 
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Ensure that there is effective delivery of induction and orientation sessions
  • Hold training managers to account for all training-led activities, interactions and, induction/on-boarding
  • Identify training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
  • Selecting and managing resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training 
  • Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training 
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Manage training budget
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to local and global teams as requested / required

Contribution to and implementing global best practices

  • Works with Global Sales Operations team to share update on local operations and to contribute towards building global training best practices and deploy any global practices requested by Global Sales Operations
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to global team effort by accomplishing related results

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LATEST CAREER PLACEMENT AT BIMA

  • Educated to at least a bachelor’s degree
  • Professional certification in Training combined with proven work experience as a Training Manager leading a team(s) of trainers
  • Proven understanding of captive and/or outsourced call centre training operations
  • Minimum 3 years professional training experience including leading a team of no less than 3-4 trainers
  • Knowledge of learning and developing best practices 
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Proven experience in delivery of training remotely/using digital or technological training solutions
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
  • High emotional intelligence with superior levels of self-awareness, personal resilience, and the ability to relate to others and adapt approach as the situation requires
  • Able to effectively communicate and execute change and change management (people, process and technology)
  • Proven experience of using data to generate insights around and improve training and understand its impact
