JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supports the Head of Unit with infrastructure acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure at GCX Head Office, Warehouses and Remote Offices.
- Provides technical support to GCX staff and other end users on the use of GCX IT equipment such as printers, laptops, desktops, UPS and AVR, etc.
- Also supports internal departments with information needs and use of Office productivity tools.
- Supports Trading operations and Market data by ensuring consistent information dissemination on all electronic channels of communications including website, social media, radio & TV stations, tickers, etc
MAJOR JOB TASKS
- Administering users on active directories
- Maintain and manage corporate network infrastructure
- Maintain accurate and complete documentations for company policies and procedures.
- Support staff with using Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Resolve staff an accurately. client problems promptly and
- Report and coordinate any repairs and maintenances to be undertaken on IT equipment.
- Provide technical assistance to office staffs as needed.
- Assist in software and hardware upgrades.
- Add or update workstations for office staffs.
- Perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
- Supervise and process help desk support requests.
- Assist in maintaining Internet service, firewalls, telephone systems market data systems
- Initiate process improvements to better answer user demands
- Supports capacity building efforts of the department in providing education to staff on various ICT policies and programmes.
- Supports the Head of department in meetings with staff and stakeholders and in planning the affairs of the department.
- Monthly reporting on various activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of an HND in Information Technology
- Must have worked in a similar position for a minimum of 4 years
