Newmont Corporation is recruiting for five positions, with vacancies based at its Ahafo North mine site and in Accra. The roles cover IT support, mining maintenance, crane operations, geology and long-term mine planning.
1. Analyst, End User Computing (EUC) – Ahafo North
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of technical support experience in a mining company. The role involves supporting computers, mobile devices, applications, meeting-room technology, user accounts and IT security.
2. Technician, Toolsroom – Ahafo North
This position requires a National Vocational Trade Certificate or relevant degree and at least 3 years’ experience in a mining environment. Duties include managing tools and PPE, repairing or replacing damaged equipment, maintaining records and supporting workshop safety.
3. Supervisor, Crane – Ahafo North
Candidates need BSc/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, MVT II or equivalent, plus crane operator certification. The role requires 6–8 years of crane operation experience and 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
Applicants should have a professional degree in Geological Science or a related field and be registered or eligible for immediate registration with a relevant professional body. 0–2 years of experience is required.
5. Lead Long Term Planning (Open Pit) – Accra
This senior role requires a degree in Mining Engineering or a related field and 5–8 years of hands-on open-pit mine planning experience. Experience with mine planning software such as MineSight, Vulcan or Deswik is required.
