Drill Masters Africa (DMA) is seeking a proactive individual to occupy the vacancy of Site-Level HR Officer. The role holder will be the the business’ on-site HR anchor across drilling, mining, and construction projects—driving people operations, compliance, and workforce discipline in line with company and client standards. The role is located on operational Sites (multi-site, field-based).
Key Functions:
- Lead site implementation of HR policies, systems, and standards
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and local hires with central HR
- Maintain employee records, contracts & attendance registers
- Validate timesheets, overtime, allowances & payroll inputs for HQ
- Run site inductions, medicals & compliance renewals
- Support welfare & engagement
- Advise supervisors on disciplinary & performance matters
- Deliver toolbox/awareness sessions on policies & code of conduct
- Manage leave schedules and relieve arrangements
- Interface with client HR/HSE/site reps on access, training & compliance
- Investigate incidents/misconduct & ensure timely closure
- Submit monthly HR reports
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Labour Law & DMA HR governance
- Promote accountability, respect & teamwork on site
- Travel across project sites to provide HR coverage as needed
Standards:
- Bachelor’s in HRM, Business Admin, or related field
- 4+ years’ practical HR experience (mining/construction/drilling preferred)
- HR certification (e.g., PHRi) is a strong advantage
- Solid knowledge of Ghana Labour Law & HR compliance
- Strong interpersonal, communication & conflict-resolution skills
- High professionalism, integrity & confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & HR systems
- Able to work independently in remote/field environments
