About The Company
Ghana Manganese Company Limited is the only company in Ghana that produces and exports manganese. It has been operating for over 100 years and is based in Nsuta in the Western Region. It has a large mining concession of about 170 square kilometers, but only less than 3% of it has actually been mined. This means there is still a lot of manganese underground that has not been explored yet.
GMC is a private company. It is mostly owned (90%) by Consolidated Minerals Africa Limited, while the Government of Ghana holds the remaining 10% as a free carried interest. This partnership shows how important the company is to both private investors and the country.
In simple terms, GMC is a long-standing mining company with a lot of experience, a big land area, and strong potential for future growth.
