Kizz Daniel tenders apology to Tanzanians

Nigerian singer, Daniel Oluwatobiloba, popularly called Kizz Daniel has been released from the custody of the Tanzanian police as confirmed by Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

The Buga musician was detained after it was claimed that he failed to perform on Sunday night as part of his Afro Classic World Tour at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in the East African nation, Tanzania.

Fans reportedly vandalized some portions of the concert arena due to his absence to perform. Bue to the no-show, the organizers had Kizz Daniel and some of his crew members taken into custody by police from their hotel.

“He has been released from police custody, but his lawyers will report to the station tomorrow. He should be home anytime soon,” Dabiri reported in a tweet. He said the Nigerian Embassy in Tanzania was assisting Daniel.

The Buga hitmaker, Kizz Daniel, was detained by the Summer Amplified Show organizers in Tanzania when he failed to appear for the well-advertised show on Sunday night.

According to a Tanzanian tabloid, the artist was supposed to perform at the Summer Amplified concert at the Warehouse Arena (formerly Next Door Arena) in Dar es Salaam.

A trending Twitter video shows the musician getting into a Tanzanian police van while sporting a black hoodie.

The concert attendants had staged a mild protest by throwing bottles at the empty stage. It is reported that the concert-goers paid as much as $5000 and waited for hours only for Kizz Daniel to be absent.

Reports have it that the singer had arrived in the country earlier but refused to perform because there were no clothes available.

Repeated action

Before Sunday, the singer had been called out twice over a similar case, where he had canceled shows abruptly. The Afronation US Classic tour and one concert on 20th July in Denver, USA suffered the same fate.
