- People fight in trotro because of you – Yvonne Nelson to Nana Addo
- Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has lashed out at President Akufo-Addo over current economic hardships.
- Expressing her frustrations, she blamed the President for subjecting the already impoverished Ghanaians to hardships.
Yvonne Nelson, a Ghanaian actress, has again attacked President Akufo-Addo over the country’s tremendous poverty. She claims people fight in trotro because of him.
The acclaimed actress used her official Twitter handle earlier today to question President Mahama on the change he promised Ghanaians ahead of the 2016 and 2020 elections.
According to her, what President Akufo-Addo promised Ghanaians has turned out to be hardships.
She related how, in a commercial vehicle known as Trotro, passengers recently traded blows over a fare dispute, which she observed.
In just a spate of five months, fuel prices have skyrocketed severally, pushing transport fares to levels Ghanaians cannot cope with.
Many Ghanaians have decried the distress transport fares are imposing on Ghanaians and has called upon the government to employ measures that will cushion people from the impact of rise in fares.
The change you promised Ghanaians is HARDSHIP eeh? The fights I’m seeing this morning in trotros is alarming 🤯@NAkufoAddo

Yvonne Nelson apparently cannot wrap her head around the reality she is facing. She once recounted the numerous promises Akufo-Addo made while on his electioneering campaign to lift Ghana out from poverty to a well-to-do country.
She seems shocked and has reminded the President conductors of commercial buses, drivers and passengers are on each other’s neck everytime because of transport fares.
