Nigeria has the market, tap into it – Camidoh

It is a shallow way of looking at things - Camidoh on critics who says he sounds Nigerian
Camidoh described Nigeria as the gaint of Africa so every artsiste should try penetrating the country.

Sugarcane crooner, Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, has said Nigeria has the market so Ghanaian artistes should not hesitate tapping into it.

The West African country is the most populous on the continent, coupled with massive economic potentials. It is certain there is a large market for musicians in Nigeria, if their population is anything to go by.

Indeed, there is a large market in Nigeria which has even propelled their own artistes to International heights.

Camidoh has therefore called upon his fellow Ghanaian artistes to try penetrating the Nigerian market for their own benefit.

Camidoh is one of the rare Ghanaian musicians whose songs have breached both the Ghanaian and Nigerian markets. “Sugarcane,” a song by Camidoh, is one of Nigeria’s most popular songs.

Camidoh stated in an interview with Pulse Nigeria that he does not rush to do successful songs and instead focuses on the quality of the music.

He, on the other hand, focuses solely on writing good music. He feels that if an artist’s energy is primarily channeled into producing popular songs, they will eventually fade away.

Camidoh just said that he is currently working on a new single with other Nigerian musicians.

He revealed that he does not push his songs and that he is an organic musician who became acquainted with Mayokun after seeing him in Wizkid’s video.

He realized he was the perfect fit for his “Sugarcane” remix. Camidoh claimed that he only well-marketed his song in Nigeria, but that his major goal was to have his songs cross over to other countries.

“Nigeria is the giant in Africa,” the young artist said, praising the Nigerian market. “Every African artist should try to penetrate the Nigerian market.” In terms of music, this is one of the most important markets. It’s all part of the show. How can your music grow if you don’t have the numbers? Ghanaian performers, in my opinion, should break into the Nigerian market.”

He therefore has called on African artistes and Ghanaians in particular to try the Nigerian market since they do not have the numbers.
