The “Forever” hitmaker revealed she was hurt by the words of the social media user.
Ghanaian musician, Jackeline Acheampong, popularly called Gyakie has recounted how a netizen berated her after she came into limelight.
The promising female artiste described it as a painful ordeal as it got to her.
This was after her most popular song gained prominence in the country and beyond.
Gyakie explained that she was hurt when one social media user said she was just a one-time hitmaker so she should not bother herself going back to record songs anymore.
Gyakie revealed that some of the shades thrown at her by her critics on social media gets to her in an interview with Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo program.
She recounted that after her song “Forever” became popular on practically every platform, a social media fan cautioned her not to release another song.
She said that the reviewer informed her that she was only a one-hit wonder and that she should have lesser expectations when recording another song.
Gyakie was hurt when a critic warned her that any other song she released after “Forever” would not be a hit, and she expressed her dissatisfaction with the comment.
In another report, Samini believes it is not necessary for Ghana to fixate on the construction of a national cathedral at this time.
In a conversation on Twitter Spaces, the musician stated that he does not agree with the government’s decision to build the structure.
Ghana’s National Cathedral is a projected interdenominational Christian cathedral that will be constructed in Accra.
The cathedral’s design was announced by Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, in March 2018.
Although Samini believes the cathedral’s construction is extremely important to President Nana Akufo-Addo, he does not believe it is a top priority.
“The National Cathedral is one of the ‘Nos’ for me; I am not for it, and I am not a fan of it because I believe it is a personal priority,” he stated in the Spaces.
