Despite featuring in numerous songs, he claims Asamoah Gyan cannot be categorized as a musician.

Bulldog fiercely objected when asked on United Showbiz if Gyan can be categorized as a musician.

“He’s not a musician. I don’t consider him to be a musician. He’s a professional footballer because he hasn’t launched anything. Music is his hobby,” Bulldog said.

“You can’t just say someone featured him so he’s a musician. I’ve seen you (Nana Ama McBrown) sing on so many platforms but you are not a musician.”

The football player frequently incorporated music and sports, and together with his late friend Castro, he released a few songs. However, since Castro’s passing, Gyan has stopped releasing music.

However, he still performs with his own band.

Meanwhile, Bulldog has asked Asamoah Gyan to stay home if his motivation is to revenge against Uruguay at the 2022 World Cup.

Bulldog thinks it’s reasonable if Gyan wants to make amends, but added that Ghanaians haven’t demanded revenge from the striker.

“What is the revenge about? Do you think Ghanaians want revenge? Are you the one seeking revenge or Ghanaians? Have we told you we need revenge? When did we speak to you about revenge? Why is he saying that?” he said on United Showbiz.

“When you’re a legend, you’d want to correct some errors before you retire; that is what he wants to do. Honestly, he did well for Ghana but that penalty he missed has become a dent.”

“The circumstances are not the same. If it’s because of revenge, he should stay home,” Bulldog said.

Following Gyan’s interview with the BBC, in which he linked his potential comeback to that of Roger Milla, who came out of retirement to play for Cameroon in the 1994 World Cup, Gyan has been trending on social media.

He has been working assiduously of late to get in shape so he gets a ticket to play in the national football team.

Many people have expressed their views on the legend’s move. While others welcome his decision, Bulldog and quite a number disagree with Gyan’s decision.
